Research assistant in hydrogen storage technology and systems (with doctoral option)

Your tasks

  • The “Hydrogen Storage Technology and Systems” working group develops sorption materials such as metal hydrides, composite materials and hydride-containing pastes (“POWERPASTE”). The innovations from materials science are accompanied through to application.
  • Scaling of hydrolysis reactors, in-situ diagnostics and condition detection
  • Reaction paths of the reactants, safety assessment and measures for the safe reaction control of hydrolysis reactors
  • Scale-up for the production of POWERPASTE and recycling of reaction products
  • The doctoral network forms the framework for a structured doctoral program, for example with the following elements:

Your qualifications

  • Completed scientific university degree in materials science, process engineering or related disciplines
  • Knowledge of reaction engineering and an understanding of multiphase reactions and fluid dynamics
  • Ideally know-how in simulation, modeling and programming, for example with PYTHON, as well as experience in research and development
  • Willingness to travel domestically and abroad, routine with MS Office and very good written and spoken German and English
  • You are a team player personality, have strong organizational and communication skills, are motivated to familiarize yourself with new topics, show a high degree of initiative and assertiveness, work precisely and are confident in presenting results in German and English
