In this position, you will also work closely with the Chairwoman of the Executive Board.

The Press and Online Communications team in the Communications division plans and manages BDEW's press work as well as editing and publishing multimedia content for bdew.de and the BDEW social media channels. In close coordination with the BDEW management, the team communicates the association's services, arguments and positions on all relevant energy and water industry topics to the outside world in a concise, factual and comprehensible manner and is the first point of contact for regional, national and international media. Together with two other teams, the Press and Online Communications team is responsible for all of BDEW's internal and external communications in the form of press, online, events, campaigns and marketing activities.

• Active involvement in BDEW's press work and rapid response to press enquiries
• Proactive positioning of energy and water industry association topics in the media
• Writing press releases, name articles and interviews
• Organizational and content-related preparation and implementation of press events as well as accompanying the main management to press appointments and interviews in print, TV and radio
• Cross-media preparation of selected press topics for relevant online channels
• Active networking with journalists from national and regional media as well as specialist and online media
• Close cooperation with the specialist departments of BDEW

• Successfully completed studies (Master's/Diploma/M.A.) in communications, economics, political science, journalism or a comparable degree program with a focus on communications
• Several years of professional experience in the same or a similar professional environment, experience as a spokesperson in business and/or political communication or in print and online journalism
• Prior knowledge of the energy industry, water management and/or climate policy is mandatory
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present complicated topics in a concise and understandable way
• Team orientation and the willingness and ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Open-minded and confident manner, independent working style and a high level of service orientation
• Very good written and spoken English skills as well as very good knowledge of common Office programs
