Engineer (m/f/d) Strategic Network Planning – Gas / Heat / H2
Your tasks
- Network planning: You carry out strategic target network planning for heating networks up to 125 C and 16 bar operating pressure.
- Concept development: You design, develop and update strategic, future-oriented concepts, regional planning and network development plans, taking into account the changing framework conditions of the energy and heating transition in coordination with network operations.
- Modeling: You set up executable grid models and update them using modern grid calculation or simulation software, among other things.
- Optimization: You derive measures to optimize heating networks and network structures from technical, commercial, regulatory and ecological perspectives, among others.
- Willingness to innovate: You are open to new specialist topics, such as the development of an H2 grid strategy.
- Analysis: You will continuously review and evaluate the grids based on condition assessments and fault analyses.
- Project participation: You will be involved in the design of planning bases for the construction and maintenance of the networks as well as in the provision and determination of decision-relevant commercial and technical key figures in the heating sector.
Your qualifications
- Education: You have a degree in process engineering, supply engineering, energy engineering or environmental engineering or a comparable degree.
- Experience: At best, you have professional experience in the construction or operation of heat distribution systems (not mandatory).
- Knowledge: You are familiar with the relevant laws and regulations as well as the technical codes of practice. In addition, you have experience in the field of network calculation (e.g. STANET) and are familiar with the use of GIS.
- Soft skills: You are committed and proactive and enjoy working independently.
