Energy trader (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- You are independently responsible for the revenue-optimized short-term management of open positions between sales and procurement in 24/7 operations
- You monitor and analyze price developments and trends in the relevant markets
- You carry out gas and electricity trading transactions (spot and intraday) on the exchange and via OTC platforms, market our balancing energy pool and define strategies for the short-term and balancing energy markets
- You carry out the associated balancing group and schedule management
- You operate the control room for VSE’s virtual power plant (CHP, CHP, wind power, photovoltaics, biogas)
- You will determine the optimal mode of operation for our power plant park according to the marketing carried out
- You will support your colleagues in the planning and implementation of complex automated trading processes
- Two-shift organization with on-call duty
Your qualifications
- You have a degree in engineering, mathematics or economics
- Ideally, you have already gained some professional experience in the energy industry or energy trading
- You are interested in pricing in the energy sector and are enthusiastic about developing solutions for the energy transition and digitalization
- You have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently
- You have mathematical and analytical know-how, a high affinity for IT and the ability to understand complex processes and translate them into technical requirement profiles
- Results-oriented thinking and acting and a high level of service orientation are a matter of course for you
- You have a very good command of German and English, other foreign languages are an advantage
