Gas/Water Network Planning Engineer (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- You will work with us as part of a team to develop the gas network of the future by helping to develop a strategy for transforming our gas supply into an efficient hydrogen network.
- You will also be involved in the strategic planning of the water network and in updating planning and operating principles in order to help shape the future.
- Your tasks will also include carrying out pipe network calculations for the dimensioning of gas and water pipes and systems using state-of-the-art software tools.
- You will be responsible for the operational management of network planning projects. In this role, you will prepare the planning for network expansions and replacement measures in the gas and water network, including the associated calculations.
- You will also be responsible for coordinating construction measures and actively participating in the creation of network plans.
- You will also support the implementation of special tasks and projects and thus contribute to successful network planning.
Your qualifications
- You have a degree in engineering, ideally in the field of mechanical engineering, supply engineering or process engineering.
- Ideally, you have already gained initial knowledge in the planning of gas and water networks.
- You have a sound knowledge of the applicable laws, regulations, technical standards and rules.
- You are reliable towards others, enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team and have an open-minded and friendly manner.
- A structured, thoughtful and responsible way of working and openness to participating in paid on-call duty round off your profile.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for you in the Network Planning and Construction division of AVU Netz GmbH as a Gas/Water Network Planning Engineer (m/f/d). In this position, your responsibilities and tasks will be in the area of strategic and operational planning of gas and water supply networks. Together with our team, you will create the basis for a secure and sustainable supply network in the region.
