Senior Project Manager “District Heating Route South East” (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- We are shaping the heat and energy transition together and you will act as a senior project manager in the district heating route project for the transport of heat generated from geothermal energy for Munich and the surrounding area as part of an expansion program for Munich’s heat supply. You will be in close contact with the overarching program and the generation plant projects included in it.
- Your focus is on project management and strategy as well as coordination of the sub-projects and interfaces with the overarching program in the Regional Energy Transition department.
- Leading and controlling a complex project in all project phases for the construction of a district heating line with high significance for the Group
- Assuming technical and commercial responsibility for the project, taking into account all contract-relevant issues as well as the professional and quality-oriented, timely and cost-effective implementation of the project
- Leading a larger project team with sub-projects and staff units as well as interfaces to the higher-level program staffed by technical experts
- Support in securing the route and in approval procedures (consideration of environmental concerns, coordination with authorities)
- Communication at (corporate) political and strategic level and reporting to high-level internal and external committees
Your qualifications
- Completed studies (diploma/master’s/bachelor’s degree) in plant or mechanical engineering, process engineering or similar
- Successfully completed certification in project management (e.g. IPMA Level A) desirable
- At least 5 years of professional experience in independent, technical and commercial project management in the field of network and route construction or pipeline projects, plant construction or equivalent
- Strong teamwork and communication skills as well as a confident manner and experience in dealing competently with all project participants
- Organizational and communication skills, flexibility, ability to work independently, strong communication skills
