Rhenag is at the forefront of the energy transition and is actively shaping the future. In the area of strategic corporate development, the focus is on the "#rhenag2030" strategy project, with which we are setting the course for a successful positioning as a reliable partner for municipal utilities in the local energy and heating transition. We are also continuously working on the further development of our municipal utility investment portfolio in order to strategically advance the rhenag Group.
As (Senior) Manager Strategic Corporate Development with a focus on the energy industry, you will be largely responsible for developing innovative strategies and actively supporting rhenag and its municipal utility investment portfolio on their way to a sustainable and future-oriented energy supply. You will promote exchange within our investment network and initiate new projects and business areas in order to actively drive forward the energy transition together with our municipal partners.
What you can expect
- Strategic corporate development: You develop comprehensive and sustainable strategies for the rhenag Group and our municipal utility investment portfolio and actively support the implementation of our long-term goals.
- Portfolio management: You will continuously analyze our municipal utility investment portfolio, identify growth potential and agglomeration opportunities and support M&A projects and due diligence processes.
- Stakeholder management: In close cooperation with municipal partners and other stakeholders, you will drive forward energy industry projects and establish sustainable relationships to support municipal energy suppliers in implementing the energy and heating transition.
- Project and network management: You plan and moderate network meetings and working groups and lead projects from conception to successful implementation, including the convincing presentation of solutions for complex energy industry issues.
- Market and trend analyses: You will continuously analyze market changes and trends in the energy industry in order to identify innovative approaches at an early stage and react proactively to changes.
What you bring with you
- Successfully completed studies in energy economics, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience in the energy industry, ideally with a focus on strategic corporate development, municipal partner management or project management in the energy sector.
- Sound experience in strategy development, implementation of transactions and M&A projects as well as in transformation processes in the energy sector.
- Enjoy detailed analyses, a strong strategic mindset and the ability to understand complex topics and to prepare and communicate them in a way that is appropriate for the target audience.
- Excellent communication and social skills as well as a goal-oriented and independent way of working.
