The municipality of Ahrensfelde is looking for the next possible date for a
Environmental and nature conservation officer (m/f/d)
to work in the specialist service II.2 Infrastructure and Environment. The regular full-time working week is 39 hours according to TVöD. There is a flexible working time model (core and flexitime). Part-time is possible.
The municipality of Ahrensfelde is located directly on the north-eastern outskirts of Berlin and is connected to Berlin's local transport network by the S7 S-Bahn line. The municipality consists of 5 districts
Tasks
The tasks essentially include all areas of the environment department under the responsibility of a Brandenburg municipality, which you will work on under your own management or as a deputy for another colleague. In the area of stormwater/surface waters, this includes the planning and management of the municipality's own water bodies of the second order, stormwater drainage, culverts and hydraulic engineering facilities. In addition, you will be involved in the monitoring and restoration of village ponds, work in and with water and soil associations and in municipal working groups, as well as public relations work in the area of the environment. Together with a colleague, you will also work on other environmental tasks that arise in a small municipality. You will also acquire funding for your own projects. You will also be responsible for the approval of property access roads, crossings and excavations on public roads. Finally, you will support the Infrastructure and Environment department in individual areas of responsibility.
Requirements
Requirements for the position are:
- Dipl.-Ing. (FH) or Bachelor in the fields of landscape use and nature conservation, forest ecosystem management or landscape ecology or a comparable degree or qualification
- If possible, practical experience in a local authority or district authority
- basic knowledge of administrative law and ideally public procurement law would be desirable
- Class B driving license
- Willingness to occasionally attend evening events (in particular meetings of municipal representatives and committees) and possibly also at weekends
Knowledge and experience in the use of GEO information systems, practical experience in the field of environment and nature conservation as well as relevant professional experience in public administration and ideally in local government would be an advantage in the application process.
Personal competence:
You should have strong communication skills in working with staff, citizens and other stakeholders, in particular the ability to formulate and communicate complex issues in an understandable way and to moderate decision-making processes. We also require the ability to implement complex plans and projects systematically, in a structured manner and on time and within budget.

If all requirements and tasks are fulfilled and depending on previous relevant professional experience, a classification up to pay group 9a TVöD VKA is possible.
