Engineer (m/f/d) Coordination Offshore

As one of four transmission system operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for electricity transmission at the highest voltage level; the level on which everything depends when it comes to grid stability and security of supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid network and cooperate directly with colleagues throughout Europe. Together with the Belgian grid operator Elia, 50Hertz forms a European company: the Elia Group. We work together intensively on key issues. Individual areas such as IT or purchasing are group functions, i.e. Elia and 50Hertz colleagues work in a joint team in workplaces spread across Berlin and Brussels.
Your tasks
- In offshore operations, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating work at sea and on land on the grid connections for offshore wind farms in the German Baltic Sea.
- This is what makes the job interesting for you: 50Hertz, a company with more than 2100 employees, is the transmission system operator in the north and east of Germany and is responsible, among other things, for bringing all the offshore wind energy generated in the German Baltic Sea to land. To this end, 50Hertz invests considerable resources in constructing switching stations at sea and connecting them to the mainland with submarine cables. As an Offshore Coordination Specialist Engineer (m/f/d), you will keep an eye on all work relating to the grid connections of the Baltic Sea wind farms. You will plan, coordinate and monitor the implementation of maintenance measures and ensure cooperation in grid connection projects.
- You will work together with the other specialist areas of the Baltic Sea Offshore Operations department and other relevant specialist and project departments and coordinate with the partners involved. You will be in close contact with our grid connection customers, the wind farm operators, and serve as the first point of contact for operational matters.
- Your tasks include in detail
- Monitoring and implementing operational management contracts as well as supporting the creation and adaptation of contracts for offshore plants,
- Preparing and attending operational meetings with grid connection customers,
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring maintenance measures, taking into account the impact on grid connections in accordance with technical and legal requirements,
- Informing and coordinating measures with internal partners as well as with authorities, customers, owners and other organizations,
- Participating in the professional and timely execution of measures,
- Preparation of reports and reports on compliance status and capacity utilization,
- Contributing to the planning of budgets and resources and participating in working groups and committees,
- Assisting in the preparation of contracts, contract revisions and documentation in the Baltic Sea Offshore Operations department,
- Carrying out technical training and instruction of employees,
- Assisting in the processing of public inquiries about third-party projects in the offshore facilities sector.
Your qualifications
- Completed studies in industrial engineering, electrical engineering (Master, Diploma, Bachelor) or comparable,
- Car driving license,
- Health requirements for offshore work,
- Good knowledge of English (B2),
- Ideally you also have:
- Specialist knowledge of high voltage technology onshore and offshore as well as the relevant standards and guidelines,
- Experienced handling of standard office software (MS Office), SAP-PM/SRM and database application software, basic knowledge of other SAP modules (MM, PS etc.).
