Consultant (f/m/d) Energy Statistics for the “Environmental Monitoring, Energy, Environmental-Economic Accounts” Unit
Figures create knowledge: As the largest information service provider in the state of Baden-Württemberg, we collect objective and neutral data on all important aspects of life. Our work forms the basis for analyses and decisions in politics, business and science.
In the “Environmental Monitoring, Energy, Environmental-Economic Accounts” department, we compile statistics on waste, energy and water management, as well as on environmental economics and climate-impacting substances. Renewable energies are set to become the most important source of energy in the long term. Our official energy statistics provide important data for assessing the energy transition.
Your tasks
- You will perform management tasks,
- You will oversee the methodological and content-related further development of energy statistics, the energy balance and energy reporting from a technical perspective and organize their implementation,
- You will maintain a wide range of external contacts with institutions and data users that deal with the topic of energy,
- You will represent the Baden-Württemberg State Statistical Office in various working groups and specialist committees and advise interested parties from politics, science, business and the public on the specialist area,
- You analyze and evaluate data and publish the results, e.g. in press releases, articles or specialist presentations.
Your qualifications
- You have a university degree (Diplom, Magister or Master’s degree) in the field of energy, physics, environmental sciences or economics with a final grade of “good” or better,
- You have a keen interest in the subject of energy and energy management,
- In addition to personal commitment and organizational skills, you also have the ability to lead a team,
- You have extensive experience in using the MS Office package and ideally have knowledge of databases,
- A strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills and flexibility are among your strengths.
