Specialist for data transmission in the energy sector (m/f/d)
The Energy Department of the Office for Environmental Protection is responsible for and coordinates the implementation of the energy and climate protection concept adopted by the municipal council with the aim of making the state capital of Stuttgart climate-neutral as quickly as possible. The digitalization of processes, the further development of the data infrastructure and the monitoring of success have a central interface function.
Your tasks
- You will be responsible for the support and expansion of remote data transmission in the energy control system for municipal properties, including the integration of building and process control technology
- You will support and design the digitalization of processes and data structures within the Energy department and monitor their implementation
- You will be involved in the development of solutions for the optimal setting of measurement, control and regulation technology as well as for further operational optimization in municipal properties in order to reduce energy and water consumption
- You will monitor the consumption of municipal properties with the help of IT-supported systems and actively contribute to the further development of energy and cost monitoring
- You develop measures to save energy and water and take care of their implementation

Your qualifications
- Engineer (Bachelor/FH/TU/BA) in the field of electrical or energy engineering or related courses of study or other employees (master electrician or technician in the field of electrical or energy engineering or related degrees) who have equivalent skills and experience (in the case of foreign degrees, presentation of state recognition in Germany is required)
- Sound specialist knowledge in the areas of PLC and MSR
- Qualification as an electrician in the low-voltage range (up to 1000 V AC)
- Sound knowledge of energy technology
- The ability to familiarize yourself quickly and independently with complex tasks and processes and to represent the interests of the department
- Good communication skills in German and good knowledge of the usual IT applications
