Consultant (m/f/d) with a focus on onshore wind energy

Dena’s mission is to contribute to the success of the energy transition. As a competence center for applied energy transition and climate protection, it supports the German government in achieving its energy and climate policy goals. To this end, it brings together partners from politics, business, science and all parts of society. Nationally and internationally, dena develops solutions for climate neutrality and puts them into practice.

Your tasks

  • As part of the Electricity division in the “Future of Energy Supply” department, you will make a direct and active contribution to the success of the energy transition. We are working on many exciting projects to transform the electricity system, including topics such as the expansion of renewables, grid expansion and electricity market design. As an employee in our department, you will be directly involved in the decarbonization of the German energy system and ensure that Germany becomes climate-neutral by 2045.
  • We are currently looking for support on the topic of onshore wind in the electricity generation team. Do you have a very good overview of measures for the expansion of onshore wind energy and would like to contribute to these? Then we look forward to working with you to support the federal states and the federal government with the implementation of corresponding projects. We offer a great team, close contact with the players in the energy transition in politics, business, civil society and science as well as exciting and varied tasks.
  • Coordination of a consulting project for the task force for onshore wind energy of the state of NRW
  • Creating and evaluating energy policy strategies and measures
  • Writing qualitative and quantitative studies, analyses, background papers and briefings on technical aspects of renewable energies, with a focus on onshore wind energy
  • Giving presentations and lectures, active participation in expert exchanges
  • Developing policy recommendations and instruments in the field of renewable energies and in the context of industrial policy
  • Conception, preparation and implementation of stakeholder processes and specialist events for various players from politics, business, science and civil society
  • Conception and supervision of tenders for services to external service providers and management of contractors and project partners
  • Preparation of specialist content for communication formats for different target groups

Your qualifications

  • You have a degree in economics, law, engineering, politics, social sciences, sustainability management or a comparable course of study
  • You have relevant professional or practical experience in the field of renewable energies and the political and economic framework conditions in Germany and, if applicable, at EU level
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the key challenges of the energy transition and knowledge of the political stakeholder landscape, particularly in the area of onshore wind energy
  • You have a good understanding of political, economic and technical interrelationships in the field of renewables as well as the key drivers and obstacles
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual working skills and an interest in familiarizing yourself with new and complex issues
  • You show a high level of commitment in dealing with representatives of companies and public institutions
