Project Technician (m/f/d) – Technical Testing & Evaluation of Renewable Energies
As an accredited certification body, we provide expert, climate-neutral support for the energy transition. Our focus is on the technical assessment and certification of the electrical properties of energy generation and storage systems – both nationally and internationally. In doing so, we work independently and in the interests of a sustainable energy future.
Our customers: Project developers, planning offices, grid operators and operators of renewable energy systems.
Your tasks
- Independent technical review and evaluation of submitted documentation for energy generation systems (e.g. wind energy, photovoltaic, storage systems, CHP)
- Assessment of the systems with regard to applicable directives, standards and connection conditions
- Support in the preparation of certificates and expert reports in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines (e.g. VDE, BDEW)
- Testing connection concepts, feed-in management and grid compatibility
- Documentation and quality assurance of technical test documents
- Project coordination with customers, manufacturers, planners and grid operators
- Preparation and, if necessary, participation in on-site inspections to check that systems have been installed in accordance with the guidelines
- Support in the further development of internal calculation and testing tools
- Participation in the quality management system
Your qualifications
- Completed technical training or studies (Bachelor or Master) in a relevant course of study:
- Electrical engineering
- Energy technology
- Energy systems engineering
- Or comparable fields of study
- Graduates of a technical training program with relevant professional experience and an interest in standards-based evaluation and system analysis
- Experienced engineers with sound practical experience in energy technology, electrical engineering or related fields
- University graduates (Bachelor’s or Master’s) who have gained initial practical experience and are motivated to enter the field of technical assessment and certification
- Working students in technical degree programs who would like to gain practical experience alongside their studies
- Initial practical experience in electrical grids, renewable energies or related areas is an advantage
- Knowledge of relevant technical standards and guidelines (e.g. VDE-AR-N 4105, 4110, 4120) is desirable
- Experience in using simulation software, in particular PowerFactory, is an advantage
- Internships, student research projects or theses in relevant subject areas will strengthen your profile
- Confident handling of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Structured and independent way of working
- Ability to manage projects in a target-, time- and budget-oriented manner
- Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
