Climate Protection Manager (m/f/d)
The town of Schwandorf is a medium-sized center with approx. 30,000 inhabitants in the district of Schwandorf, 45 km north of Regensburg and 45 km south of Weiden i. d. OPf. An excellent infrastructure with optimal transport connections and a good public and private supply structure characterize the cityscape. Schwandorf has a large number of educational institutions, childcare facilities and numerous cultural and leisure facilities.
Your tasks
- Initiation and implementation of measures from the integrated climate protection concept from 2023, including in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energies, adaptation to climate change, environmentally friendly mobility in the funded follow-up project with the corresponding requirements of the municipal guidelines (technical annex)
- Project coordination of projects including commissioning of and cooperation with external service providers
- Contact person for climate protection for administration, politics and citizens
- Committee work and management of the municipal climate council
- Public relations work, organization and implementation of information events (e.g. municipal committees, companies, citizens, etc.)
- Development, updating and controlling of energy and greenhouse gas balances with the preparation of energy reports and reporting to political bodies and funding bodies
- Funding acquisition, including advice and application for funding
Your qualifications
- Completed university degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, spatial and environmental planning, geography, ideally with a focus on climate protection, environmental protection or energy and resource management
- Specialist knowledge and experience in the areas of climate and environmental protection, renewable energies and energy efficiency
- Experience in project management and public relations work
- Knowledge of dealing with stakeholder groups in local politics, administration, companies and institutions
- Specialist knowledge and professional experience as a climate protection manager as well as experience in public administration are desirable
- High level of identification with the topic of climate protection, which is reflected in your commitment and in the development of creative and innovative ideas
- Convince your interlocutors through sound specialist knowledge
- Cooperative, organized, independent and goal-oriented work with various stakeholders and the cultivation of constructive exchange
