Large Projects DC focuses on the largest grid projects of the German energy transition: SuedLink, OstWestLink, NordWestLink, NordOstLink and SuedOstLink. These pioneering DC projects are unique due to their complexity and size. We plan, approve and build these DC projects as part of the energy transition. Your tasks
- In the NordOstLink DC cable project, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the civil engineering specifications and quality-assured implementation in the project.
- You develop the designs (basic and detailed design) of the cable route from the draft planning in a team with the sub-project manager in the construction section and the civil engineering contractor.
- You coordinate the review and final filing of all technical documents from the suppliers in relation to the civil engineering design
- You will recognize deviations, report them in status and change reports, clarify them quickly and, if necessary, actively manage them via change and claim management
- You set the standards in accordance with the civil engineering contract and the internal guidelines for the NOL.
- We entrust you with supporting the documentation of the NordOstLink empty conduit system
- You will also be the point of contact during execution and actively support the sub-project managers of the sections in their work
Your qualifications
- You have a degree (university/university of applied sciences) with a focus on civil engineering. Alternatively, you have a comparable qualification
- The position requires sound professional experience in the execution of underground cable construction projects in the extra-high voltage range (320kV, 525kV). Ideally, you can demonstrate success in managing large-scale projects
- You are familiar with modern document management systems and collaboration tools
- You are comfortable working with large contractors, manufacturers and construction companies as well as interdisciplinary teamwork
- Very good German is a prerequisite; English can’t hurt, as we also have international suppliers
- Do you like traveling? That’s good, because your job requires a presence, not only at the project location in Lehrte but also on the construction sites
