Connection and measurement engineer (f/m/d)

Stuttgart Netze ensures that people in Stuttgart have a reliable supply of electricity and gas around the clock. As a distribution grid operator, we are responsible for the operation, maintenance and modernization of the 5,600-kilometre-long electricity grid and the 2,100-kilometre-long gas grid in the state capital. In addition to ensuring security of supply, we are investing in the further development of the grids in order to meet the increasing demands of the energy transition and create a sustainable energy infrastructure in Stuttgart. We also look after 74,000 street lights for the city of Stuttgart. As a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Stuttgart, we support the state capital of Stuttgart on its path to climate neutrality by 2035 with around 600 employees.
Our employees in the “Metering Service Quality Management” team are responsible for ensuring that the quality of metering is right. This includes not only “normal” electricity meters, but also converters, radio control devices, modems and smart meter gateways.

Your tasks

  • Varied tasks await you
  • Further development: You will support the expansion of existing and future IT systems in the area of connection and metering
  • Technical support: After implementation in line operation, you will take responsibility for supporting these applications
  • Analysis: You will carefully examine and evaluate new technical and legal requirements
  • Derivation: You create practical work instructions for the operational areas and define specific requirements
  • Representation: You will represent the interests of Stuttgart Netze GmbH in associations and committees

Your qualifications

  • Qualifications: You have a degree in engineering (e.g. electrical engineering, energy management, industrial engineering) or a comparable qualification
  • IT skills: You have a strong affinity for IT and enjoy project work
  • Strong communication skills: You have the power of persuasion and a confident manner, and you know how to get colleagues on board and successfully drive projects forward
  • Application knowledge: Confident handling of MS Office is part of your toolkit, ideally supplemented by initial experience with SAP
