Engineer for energy-efficient neighborhood development (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • They specify and identify measures in the neighborhoods for the development of energy and climate protection concepts
  • You examine potential energy savings and energy supply options under ecological and economic conditions at neighborhood or district level
  • You apply for funding from the relevant authorities
  • You support the implementation of the concepts and coordinate all stakeholders involved (energy suppliers, citizens, housing companies, etc.)
  • You will design and carry out information events in the neighborhoods and also manage and coordinate the external service providers in the neighborhoods
  • You will also be involved in national and international research projects
  • We reserve the right to change or add to your area of responsibility.

Your qualifications

  • Engineer with a scientific university degree (Master’s or Diploma) in the field of energy and climate protection or related disciplines (in the case of foreign degrees, state recognition in Germany is required)
  • Sound knowledge in the field of energy technology, especially in the building and energy supply sector (non-residential and residential)
  • Ability to present complex issues to non-specialists (companies, citizens) in a way that is understandable and encourages implementation
  • High willingness to familiarize yourself quickly, independently and reliably with complex tasks and to represent the interests of the department
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English as well as a very confident and communicative manner
