Team leader meter processes (m/f/d)

RheinNetz GmbH is a regional grid operating company for the Rhineland region. RheinNetz operates, plans and builds distribution grids for electricity and natural gas. On behalf of energy suppliers, we transport electricity and natural gas to the industrial, commercial and household customers connected to the grids. Our company performs functions such as technical grid service, customer service, metering, revenue and cost management, regulation management and grid access, grid planning and asset management.

Your tasks

  • You take on the technical and disciplinary management of your team within the framework of the management principles
  • You coordinate the system-based recording of all meter and device movements and ensure that they are mapped correctly in the various networks
  • You are responsible for maintaining the data in the device management system, taking into account legal requirements and energy balancing requirements
  • You consistently implement quality assurance measures in your area of responsibility
  • You regularly review the qualifications and development needs of your employees and initiate appropriate measures
  • You select personnel for direct reports based on professional and disciplinary criteria
  • You conduct annual employee appraisals to determine the current situation
  • You create job descriptions for your employees independently
  • You derive sub-goals for your team from the overarching targets (KPIs) and define the strategic and technical framework conditions in coordination with the department head
  • You distribute tasks taking into account individual skills and ensure representation in the event of absences
  • You carry out briefings, instructions and training on technical topics as well as occupational safety and environmental protection and provide information on relevant legal changes
  • You ensure the correct account assignment of materials, internal and external services and check these on a random basis for quality assurance purposes
  • You encourage your team to achieve the agreed sub-goals in a self-organized manner in close cooperation with other areas
  • You develop the strategy and organization of your area of responsibility in coordination with your manager and define clear goals, tasks and responsibilities
  • You plan, manage and monitor budgets, costs and results for your team
  • You develop and implement organizational improvements and efficiency measures to optimize processes in a targeted manner

Your qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, a technical degree with a commercial / energy industry focus or a comparable qualification
  • You have 2 to 6 years of professional experience in a relevant environment
  • You have in-depth specialist knowledge of the regulatory framework – especially WiM
  • You are very familiar with device management in the IS-U system and the OBIS key figure system
  • You have relevant experience in the target- and results-oriented management of employees
  • You are very familiar with the legal regulations and ordinances in the energy industry
  • You closely follow developments and trends in the liberalized energy market
  • You work confidently with the MS Office package and have advanced knowledge
  • You support your team in a targeted manner and develop their potential further
  • Your communication skills enable you to have clear, appreciative and targeted exchanges
  • Cross-divisional thinking is part of your self-image and supports you in working with other teams
  • You are innovative and find new ways to improve processes and results
  • Goal-oriented action characterizes your working style and helps you to stay focused even in complex situations
