Our district heating and water division is responsible for a large fleet of plants in the Hanover region. We operate a wide variety of plants at our production sites in Linden, Stöcken and Herrenhausen, as well as other external sites and the natural gas storage facility in Empelde. This enables us to make an important contribution to the energy and heat supply of our customers in the Hanover region and beyond. Our plant portfolio is growing and we are focusing heavily on renewable energies. In this way, we are shaping the energy transition in the Hannover Region and positioning ourselves for the future.

As a People and Performance Lead with a focus on technical specialists, your focus is on ‘people’ in achieving sustainable success for the District Heating and Water division and enercity as a whole. You will fill a management position with responsibility for the personnel and disciplinary management of up to 70 employees with technical professions. You ensure that the employees realize the best professional development, because as People and Performance Lead you are responsible for the performance development of your employees, their personnel management, the internal communication and development of their working environment as well as the continuous development of the organization.

Your tasks

  • As People and Performance Lead with a focus on technical specialists, you will be responsible for the performance and development of technical shift personnel, including personnel planning, the creation of shift schedules and the personnel and disciplinary management of employees.
  • Your focus is on sustainably safe, reliable and efficient plant operation.
  • You will work closely with the management team to develop a clear picture of the skills and qualifications required in the future for the district heating and water division. You will identify development and training needs and take responsibility for their implementation.
  • You will also create a basis for a constructive learning culture and promote open communication and collaboration. You keep an eye on our values and are always on the lookout for the optimal solution.
  • You will be responsible for successful resource and personnel management and manage needs-based HR measures and associated processes. To this end, you will be responsible for managing and conducting staff appraisals and organizing successful applicant and employee management.
  • In your role, you are a mediator and communicator across different areas and levels. Through moderation and coaching, you accompany change processes and always have the clear goal of ensuring and increasing enercity’s performance in the long term.

Your qualifications

  • You have successfully completed a university degree in engineering, economics or psychology.
  • Several years of professional experience at leadership and management level and experience in the field of time management, especially shift work, are an advantage.
  • You have experience in disciplinary employee management, change management, cultural development, project management, HR process experience and experience in the introduction of digital work tools.
  • You enjoy working independently and are solution-oriented.
  • Your personality is characterized by strong social skills, empathy, communication and conflict resolution skills as well as your transformational leadership skills.
  • In addition, your willingness to develop and self-confident demeanor as well as a high degree of structure and your precise, open and direct communication skills round off your profile.
