As a Service Technician (m/f/d) Automation Technology in the field of control technology at the Frankfurt or Giessen site, you will be responsible for operating and servicing the control technology equipment and systems used to control and visualize our switchgear.
Grid Field Operations Germany (GFG) is responsible for the operation, maintenance and expansion of the German electricity grid, thus ensuring a secure supply for our end customers and society as a whole. At the heart of our mission is the goal of secure and reliable grid operation in conjunction with a forward-looking and efficient project strategy, which – always with a view to the future – is characterized by intensive cooperation with our partner unit Large Projects Germany (LPG), among others. Your tasks

  • You will carry out regular inspection and maintenance work, commissioning tests and troubleshooting
  • The job also includes support in the execution of projects and cooperation with our service providers
  • You will support the team in processing the circuit documents for our electrical equipment
  • We will also entrust you with the instruction and coordination of external companies
  • You will look after the metering equipment at the interfaces to our network partners
  • You will also be responsible for accepting and checking the parameter settings of the I&C devices used
  • On-call duty for emergency operations
  • As a rule, you will work in our substations and plants and start your working day from home in your company car

Your qualifications

  • You have completed training as an electronics technician for industrial engineering (m/f/d) or have a comparable qualification
  • Completed further training as a master electrician / technician is an advantage or is something you would like to achieve
  • Ideally, you have experience in dealing with transmission protocols (e.g. IEC protocols) as well as network technology and associated applications
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills in German
  • Your personality is characterized by a willingness to learn, assertiveness, independence and the ability to make contacts and work in a team
  • The position requires a class B driver’s license, regular willingness to travel (approx. 20 overnight stays per year) and g
