• As a doctoral candidate in the field of asset management, your assistance is required in the processing of strategic district heating topics (e.g. network expansion, network operation, optimization of the generation portfolio, etc.). You will also support the development of overall strategic concepts (e.g. expansion and target network concepts) from a scientific perspective.
• You will also be responsible for working on fundamental studies and scientific issues relating to the district heating network and the generation portfolio.
• Preparing technical reports and scientific information for internal and external purposes (e.g. board meetings, internal training courses, conferences, journal articles, presentations at universities and other specialist audiences) is also an important part of your work.
• You will also be responsible for supporting university collaborations and helping to acquire joint research projects and funding.
• Literature and market research to identify technological innovations in science and research round off your job profile.
• As a doctoral candidate in the field of district heating, you will play a central role in the development and optimization of our software tools for power plant scheduling and hydraulic network calculation. Your work will make a significant contribution to creating a holistic picture for the economic optimization of our generation portfolio and at the same time checking the hydraulic feasibility in the district heating network.
