about the position
As a (Senior) Expert Smart Meter Infrastructure (f/m/d) you will be the central point of contact for all technical issues relating to meter technology and smart meter gateways at Calisen Germany. You will shape and support all technical and regulatory issues that we encounter as a Smart Meter Asset Provider (MAP): both within the company and in direct exchange with our customers and manufacturers.
Your core tasks
- Supporting and developing all technical and regulatory issues relating to meter technology and smart meter gateways in the context of the MAP business area and the smart meter rollout
- Evaluation of internal technical issues and central contact person for customers and manufacturers for technical matters
- Representation of Calisen Germany in relevant associations and standardization committees (including FNN, VDE, BDEW, BSI) in order to identify regulatory developments at an early stage and represent company interests in a targeted manner
- Building and maintaining a strong industry network with manufacturers, associations and companies
Your profile
- Completed university degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable technical degree program
- Sound knowledge of the relevant technical regulations and standards (e.g. FNN, VDE, BDEW, BSI) and their practical application
- Strong technical understanding of meter technology, smart meter gateways and control boxes and the associated IT and security requirements as well as the increasing IT-specific challenges with regard to interfaces and interoperability along the entire value chain
- Ideally several years of experience in the smart meter environment, e.g. in working with smart meter gateways, metering point operation, GWA and/or home energy management systems
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills for excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Existing industry network with manufacturers, associations, authorities and relevant market players
- Strong analytical thinking skills as well as a structured, methodical and goal-oriented way of working
- Holistic, networked thinking and high quality awareness
- Customer-centric approach and strong customer orientation
- High level of initiative paired with a cooperative working style
- High willingness to travel, for example to attend appointments with customers or manufacturers
