(Senior) Network Planner (gn) - Product Management
Position: full-time/part-time | Location: Bern or Berlin
Help us shape the energy grid of tomorrow! As a grid planner in product management, you will contribute your experience in energy supply directly to the further development of our platform. Do you understand the processes of an energy supply company first-hand - and want to use your expertise to build a technologically sophisticated product that addresses the challenges facing grid operators? Then you've come to the right place!
These are your tasks:
- Contributing your in-depth process and practical knowledge from grid planning (medium and low voltage) to the further development of our platform.
- Collaboration on a clear product strategy based on our corporate goals, market needs and regulatory developments
- Definition and further development of the long-term product vision for gaia powergrids
- Creation, maintenance and communication of the product roadmap around grid planning, simulations, load flow, utilization and EE integration
- Structured collection and prioritization of requirements from market, customer, regulatory, energy supply company processes and data analyses
- translating technical requirements into concepts, user journeys and technical specifications
- Evaluating technical correlations (network models, data flows, interfaces) and deriving clear product decisions
- Prioritizing the backlog together with the product owner
- Close collaboration with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Sales, Customer Success as well as external partners and pilot customers
What you bring with you:
- Degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, industrial engineering or comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in electricity grid planning, grid calculation or grid connection processes at a grid operator/energy supplier
- Very good understanding of processes and regulatory framework conditions in energy supply companies (e.g. grid connection, load flow, expansion planning, EEG/redispatch, GIS processes)
- Understanding of data models, grid topologies, interfaces (e.g. GIS, ERP, control systems) and technical system architectures
- Initial experience or interest in how AI, simulations and data models can be integrated into software products
- Advantage: Experience with product management, agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) or software projects - but is not a must

- Excellent communication skills in German; good command of English
- Analytical, data-driven thinking and a structured, solution-oriented way of working
