I create construction freedom for the energy transition projects by supporting the purchase of operationally necessary land and keeping an eye on the necessary line rights.
We are 50Hertz – one of the four transmission system operators (TSOs) in Germany. Together with the Belgian electricity grid operator Elia (Brussels), we form the internationally active Elia Group. At 50Hertz, more than 2,100 people work to ensure that electricity flows reliably, with low losses and optimal control over long distances at all times. As a TSO, we play a central moderating role in the realization of the energy transition from a social, technical and economic perspective. Our goal: By 2032, we want to integrate 100 percent renewable energy securely and affordably into the grid and system.

As one of four transmission system operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for electricity transmission at the highest voltage level; the level on which everything depends when it comes to grid stability and security of supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid network and cooperate directly with colleagues throughout Europe. Together with the Belgian grid operator Elia, 50Hertz forms a European company: the Elia Group. We work together intensively on key issues. Individual areas such as IT or purchasing are group functions, i.e. Elia and 50Hertz colleagues work in a joint team in workplaces spread across Berlin and Brussels.

In the land acquisition / rights management team, I can be part of the vision of 100 percent renewable energies by 2032 by supporting the purchase of land required for operations and managing the portfolio of line rights.
• My tasks:
• Managing land and pipeline rights,
• Communication with owners,
• Carrying out research into land parcels, property rights and market value,
• Negotiating compensation and calculating ground rents,
• Preparation and follow-up of notary appointments,
• Processing of lien releases, deletions and transfers of rights,
• Preparation and execution of contracts with landowners and users,
• Recovering lost rights and safeguarding own rights in land readjustment procedures,
• Supporting project managers and the team with administrative and organizational tasks,
• Correspondence with authorities, notary’s offices, land consolidation authorities and land registries,
• Organization of correspondence,
• Preparation of reports and calculations,
• Documentation of all processes in our databases (currently LaRA).

• Completed studies in real estate management, law (Bachelor, Master, Diplom, state examination), surveying, economics or comparable,
• First professional experience in the administration of real estate rights or comparable areas desirable,
• Confident handling of MS Office; knowledge of database applications (e.g. LaRA) an advantage,
• Communication skills and team orientation,
• Structured and independent way of working,
• Driving license class B,
• Very good knowledge of German (C1).
• Not a must, but an advantage:
• Experienced handling of cadastral information and land register data,
• Knowledge of GIS and the LaRA rights database,
• Good knowledge of English (B2),
• Knowledge of the economic, technical and legal framework of the energy industry.
