Team leader (m/f/d) for specialist legal advice and contracts

Dena’s mission is to contribute to the success of the energy transition. As a competence center for applied energy transition and climate protection, it supports the German government in achieving its energy and climate policy goals. To this end, it brings together partners from politics, business, science and all parts of society. Nationally and internationally, dena develops solutions for climate neutrality and puts them into practice.

Your tasks

  • The federal government’s funding programs in the building sector, above all the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG), are central to the success of the energy transition. The division deals with all issues relating to the quality assurance of funding programs and specialists. Together with other managers, they are responsible for the successful implementation of various projects in this area (list of energy efficiency experts for federal funding programs, on-site inspections, BEG office, iSFP and others). This includes the following tasks in particular:
  • Technical and disciplinary management of a team of currently 2 employees, incl. support for personnel development
  • Managing tenders and contracts for the division’s projects: monitoring contracts, providing technical support to colleagues, coordinating with the internal legal department
  • Advice on the legal interpretation of funding programs
  • Further development and interpretation of the rulebook for the list of energy efficiency experts
  • Close cooperation with the dena data protection officer with the aim of ensuring compliance with data protection requirements
  • Further development of relevant tools and infrastructure for the successful coordination and documentation of tenders and contracts
  • Other tasks include
  • Ensuring successful cooperation between the teams in the division, e.g. by further developing processes with the other managers
  • Implementation and moderation of internal and external exchange formats
  • Application of agile management methods, e.g. OKR
  • The position is part-time and full-time and is initially limited to two years with the option of permanent employment.

Your qualifications

  • Completed university degree, preferably in economics or law (or comparable)
  • Relevant experience in contracts and public procurement (national and EU-wide)
  • Confident manner and commitment in dealing with project partners and clients
  • Very good teamwork, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to act independently and enjoy working in a team and further developing tools and processes
  • Experience in managing staff and project teams
  • Ability to work in a solution-oriented, analytical, structured and conceptual way on systemic issues
  • Experience in agile methods such as OKR, design thinking and project management is desirable
  • Very good written and spoken German skills
