Consultant (f/m/d) for the area of transport and air pollution control

As one of the leading environmental and consumer protection associations in Germany, we ensure real, positive change: We enforce climate protection, nature conservation, environmental protection and consumer protection and fight for what is best feasible in the interests of the environment and people.
We work successfully on the pressing issues of our time. In strong campaigns, projects and networks, we advocate ecological and sustainable strategies in politics, business and society. For us, public debate is just as much a part of this as sound scientific foundations and personal professional exchange.

Your tasks

  • Work on our main topic of climate protection in transport in an experienced team
  • Further focus: alternative fuels in road traffic
  • Support for our climate lawsuits and other legal proceedings in the specialist area
  • Management of activities and support for relevant political discussions and legislative projects at national and European level
  • Research activities and preparation of technical information material and background papers
  • Planning, implementation and moderation of events
  • Representation of DUH at meetings, conferences and in networks

Your qualifications

  • Completed (technical) university degree or comparable degree in a relevant subject area
  • Professional experience with a profile relevant to the position in non-governmental organizations, politics, business, administration or science
  • Sound knowledge of climate protection in transport, including the relevant legal standards in Germany and the EU
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with other specialist topics and DUH positions
  • Experience in project management
  • Initiative, ability to think politically and strategically, enjoy scientifically sound work, high degree of independence, motivation and very good teamwork skills
  • Very good command of English and sound IT skills
