Energy Manager (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Development, introduction and operation of a municipal energy management system according to Kom.EMS standard incl. IT-supported system
  • Recording, analysis, evaluation and controlling of energy and water consumption of municipal/public properties
  • Preparation of the annual energy report and preparation of the committee presentation
  • Identification and implementation of technical and organizational savings potentials
  • Conclusion and optimization of grid connection and feed-in contracts
  • Planning, coordination and implementation of energy management measures in municipal properties in collaboration with building management
  • Optimization of control parameters of energy technology systems to increase efficiency
  • Regular updating of the municipal heating plan as well as district and detailed planning
  • Advising and supporting building users with energy-saving measures
  • Initiating, supporting and coordinating measures from the heating concept, including networking stakeholders and acquiring funding
  • Creating planning and investment security for relevant target groups
  • Development of methods for analyzing heat data as well as monitoring and controlling
  • Public relations work to create acceptance for far-reaching changes with regard to the transformation process towards a climate-neutral energy and heat supply (e.g. social media reporting) and cooperation with local associations, initiatives and institutions,
  • Cooperation, networking and exchange with important strategic players and partners, such as energy suppliers, commercial enterprises, service providers and authorities
  • Contact person for municipal heat planning for residents of the town of Wildeshausen
  • Committee work: preparation of topics for and participation in meetings of the town council and its committees
  • Acquisition of funding for projects in the aforementioned areas

Your qualifications

  • You have a university degree in engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Alternatively, you have a degree (Bachelor/Master) with a focus on energy, climate protection, resource management, sustainability, environmental protection, energy technology, building services engineering, building automation, supply engineering, electrical engineering, urban planning, geography or a comparable degree with
  • A keen interest in energy and economic backgrounds, a basic technical understanding and sound knowledge of renewable energies and energy efficiency.
  • Knowledge of the relevant energy laws and regulations, as well as data analysis
  • Experience in project management and project coordination
  • An independent, self-reliant and at the same time team-oriented approach
  • Strong communication skills in dealing with various stakeholders and assertiveness
  • Willingness to attend events outside normal working hours and regular participation in specialist training and further education measures
  • Good knowledge in the use of common MS Office applications (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Motivated attitude towards a digital workplace with the aim of paperless processing
  • Class B driving license
