The Asset Management & Technology department is responsible for the asset strategy along the life cycle in accordance with ISO 55000 and makes overarching investment decisions. It manages the costs, risks and performance of the asset portfolios, develops maintenance strategies and supports the planning, construction and operation of the network. It also defines technical requirements, develops scalable technologies and long-term network solutions. The unit drives the digitalization of asset information and is responsible for real estate management, including easements and contracts.

Your tasks
- As an Asset Specialist HVDC Converter (m/f/d), you will be responsible for HVDC converter technology. In close cooperation with your colleagues, you will ensure the reliable, efficient and future-oriented management of our HVDC systems.
- Full lifecycle management: You will accompany our systems throughout their entire lifecycle (tender, project phase, operating phase) and thus ensure that the HVDC converter technology meets our technical, economic and operational requirements
- Strategic perspective: In addition, you will monitor current market developments, follow technological trends and thus actively drive innovation management in the field of HVDC
- Technical requirements: You will develop technical specifications, guidelines and decision templates that form the basis for strategic and project-related decisions
- Procurement process: You will also independently prepare tender documents, evaluate technical bid documents and support technical negotiations with suppliers
- Expert exchange: You actively contribute your technical expertise to internal and external committees and working groups in order to coordinate standards, share knowledge and drive forward strategic developments
Your qualifications
- You have successfully completed your studies (university/university of applied sciences) in the field of energy or electrical engineering or a comparable field of study
- You have relevant professional experience in dealing with HVDC converters and HVDC system topologies and work on conceptual tasks with an interdisciplinary background independently, autonomously and in a structured manner
- You are characterized by your strong analytical and strategic thinking as well as your confident appearance combined with strong communication skills for efficient cooperation with our interfaces
- In addition to flexibility and the ability to work in a team, you also have a willingness to travel and a class B driver’s license
- Your very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English together with a confident use of MS Office round off your profile
