KEA Klimaschutz- und Energieagentur Baden-Württemberg GmbH is the state’s energy agency. KEA-BW’s task is to actively participate in climate protection measures in Baden-Württemberg: it supports the state government in promoting the topics of energy saving, rational energy use and the use of renewable energies. KEA-BW also focuses on sustainable mobility and water management tasks.

The Heat Turnaround Competence Center is the central point of contact for the topics of municipal heat planning, heating networks, waste heat in heating networks and combined heat and power generation. It makes its expertise in these areas available to all municipal stakeholders. The aim is to harmonize heating networks, decentralized generation plants and the use of waste heat in the energy system of the future. Municipal heat planning plays a central role in this structural change.
Your tasks
- Technical support of the heat transition network in close cooperation with the communicative network support
- Technical conceptualization and support of regular network meetings and working groups
- Expert advice and qualification of regional energy agencies and selected municipalities in the development of heating networks
- Development of recommendations for the establishment of heating networks
- Development and establishment of specialist forums for technical and economic issues relating to the planning, construction and operation of heating networks
- Internal support in related subject areas and in preparing heating networks for the market
- Networking and committee work with stakeholders at state and federal level
- Content-related organization of state-wide and regional events together with local stakeholders
- Professional support for public relations work on all communication channels.
Your qualifications
- A university degree in a technical or economic discipline, ideally with a focus on energy and infrastructure planning,
- Several years of experience in project development, planning, construction and operation of heating networks and generation plants are an advantage,
- Ideally experience in the preparation of feasibility studies according to BEW and neighborhood concepts as well as engineering planning according to HOAI,
- The ability to recognize the interrelationships of the heat transition and make them accessible to others,
- Strong communication skills, persuasiveness, language skills,
- A structured and efficient way of working while at the same time being open to pragmatic solutions, as well as strategic-analytical thinking,
- Confident appearance, ability to speak freely – even in front of larger groups,
- Team and communication skills,
- Very good written and spoken German,
- Clear attitude and motivation for climate protection and sustainable development.
