Your tasks
- Strategic management of the electricity portfolio from wind, PV and industrial consumers
- Analysis of classic pricing mechanisms to derive trading decisions
- Development and implementation of volume- and price-based hedging on spot and intraday markets
- Execution of OTC trading transactions to hedge positions
- Conception and further development of forecasting models for prices, feed-in and flexibility
- Use of modern AI methods for forecast optimization and decision support
- Helping to shape new business areas with a focus on flexibility and battery storage
- Development of innovative green electricity products including suitable hedging strategies
- Collaboration with data science, IT and regulatory units to further develop the digital trading architecture
Your qualifications
- Degree in energy economics, industrial engineering, mathematics, computer science or similar
- First professional experience in energy markets, ideally balancing power or battery storage
- Strong affinity for numbers and analytical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, independent working style
- Business fluent in German
- Knowledge of optimization methods (MILP, stochastic models, heuristics)
- Experience in electricity markets (day-ahead, intraday, balancing energy) and energy industry processes
- Technical understanding of battery storage and flexible consumers
- Programming skills in Python and SQL
