Sustainability Manager (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- You are the central contact person (internally and externally) for the topic of sustainability at Stadtwerke Wertheim GmbH and assume project responsibility for our environmental management system in accordance with EMAS, in particular
- Developing and monitoring the environmental program together with the environmental team
- Promoting environmental awareness among employees through training and internal communication
- Compilation and preparation of material and energy indicators from the divisions, including the preparation of our greenhouse gas balance in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol
- Editorial support for the preparation of the environmental statement
- Planning and supporting internal and external audits
- Ensuring the implementation of legal requirements and monitoring and evaluating legal changes
- Active involvement in strategic decisions with regard to sustainability aspects, including recommendations for action to management
- As a representative of our company, you will be involved in sustainability and industry networks and represent our interests there
- Once you have familiarized yourself with the above-mentioned areas and depending on your suitability and qualifications, you may be given further responsibilities, for example in risk management or electromobility
Your qualifications
- Professional qualifications
- Degree in business administration with a focus on sustainability/environmental management or a comparable qualification; alternatively, appropriate further training in sustainability or environmental management
- Experience in the preparation of environmental and greenhouse gas balances and sustainability reports
- Knowledge of management systems and/or energy supply is desirable
- Work style & personality
- Independent and results-oriented way of working
- Strong communication skills, a confident and empathetic manner and the ability to bring people from different areas on board
- Enjoy trying out new things, actively shaping change and familiarizing yourself with new topics
