Commercial Regulation Officer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • As a Commercial Regulation Officer (m/f/d), you will develop and evaluate strategic issues relating to commercial natural gas and hydrogen regulation and represent the interests of Gasunie Deutschland. In our collaborative teams, you can contribute your skills effectively, develop your specialist knowledge and help us shape the future of sustainable energy supply.
  • You will be the point of contact for all commercial regulatory issues.
  • Your work will focus on the processing, evaluation and further development of regulatory and strategic issues relating to commercial natural gas and hydrogen regulation. This includes, among other things, the optimal design and determination of revenue caps as well as cost audits in the areas of natural gas and hydrogen.
  • Together with your colleagues in the GFR department, you will be the central interface to the regulatory authorities with regard to commercial regulatory issues.
  • You are responsible for the coordination and processing of commercial regulatory requests, consultations and procedures and ensure compliance with the various information requirements of the regulatory authorities.
  • You advise and support your colleagues from other areas on all commercial regulatory issues.
  • You will actively represent the interests of Gasunie Deutschland in association work and build and maintain relationships with relevant players in the gas industry.
  • The exciting field of subsidy management is also part of your area of responsibility.

Your qualifications

  • University degree (economic, economic/technical or economic/legal).
  • Interest in the topics of security of supply, energy transition and hydrogen.
  • Ideally several years of professional experience in the energy/gas industry.
  • Affinity for commercial as well as legal and technical topics.
  • Ideally knowledge of the laws, ordinances, specifications and regulations for regulated network operators.
