The Rectifier Works Underground team is responsible for the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of subway power supply systems. This also includes renovations, extensions and new builds of rectifier stations as well as protection and measurement technology systems. You will look after the complex railroad power supply systems of the electrical infrastructure of the U-Bahn rectifier stations.
Your tasks
- You will be responsible for the operational management of complex traction current systems for the underground/tram, as well as the management of demanding project planning and construction management tasks
- You will conduct negotiations with internal specialist departments and external contractors, prepare tender documents and oversee the awarding and implementation of projects in your area of responsibility
- You plan and carry out short-circuit tests in traction current and energy supply networks as proof of short-circuit safety and coordinate these with the responsible departments
- You will be responsible for dealing with complex technical issues relating to the installation, commissioning, operation, regular testing and troubleshooting of protection technology components
Your qualifications
- Completed studies* in the field of energy or electrical engineering or equivalent skills and knowledge based on many years of professional experience
- Business fluent German language skills (level C2) required
- As part of the recruitment process, you will undergo a suitability test in accordance with BOStrab.
- Initial experience in dealing with electrical systems at various voltage levels, such as low, high and direct voltage systems
- Interest in acquiring the switching authorization for subway and streetcar power supply systems – or you already have this qualification Willingness to work nights every two to three weeks
- A class B driving license
