Within our Power Plants division, we are looking to fill the position of Workshop Manager EI&C Technology (m/f/d) at our Cologne-Merkenich site with immediate effect.

Your tasks

  • You will be responsible for coordinating EI&C maintenance tasks, including workshop organization and deployment planning for the in-house maintenance team and external service providers.
  • You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and servicing work on the electrical power plant systems – including medium and low-voltage switchgear and the site-specific infrastructure.
  • You will systematically analyze faults and ensure sustainable troubleshooting of the EI&C systems at the Merkenich CHP plant as well as ancillary and external systems.
  • You will provide technical and organizational support for planning, programming, commissioning, expansion and conversion work on EI&C systems.
  • You will reliably ensure that the technical documentation is maintained and updated.
  • You will also be responsible for procuring spare parts, including order processing and coordination.
  • You will monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and safety standards consistently and with a high sense of responsibility.
  • Your participation in the on-call duty ensures the technical availability of the systems.

Your qualifications

  • Profile
  • You are a master craftsman specializing in electrical engineering, ideally with a background in the power plant or industrial environment.
  • You have several years of professional experience in maintenance in an industrial environment, including personnel responsibility.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of automation systems.
  • You are a qualified electrician in accordance with the relevant regulations and have sound practical experience in the field of low voltage; ideally, you also have knowledge and practical experience in dealing with medium-voltage systems.
  • You are also confident in the use of software tools for programming electrical measurement and control technology.
  • Experience in the optimization of control loops and step chains as well as a good understanding of process engineering processes are part of your professional profile.
  • You are adept at working with power plant control and switchgear systems.
  • Ideally, you will have knowledge of CAD programs.
  • A switching authorization up to 30 kV is desirable.
  • You are experienced in working with MS Office applications.
  • Fluent written and spoken German is a prerequisite.
  • You are characterized by a structured, independent way of working, the ability to work in a team and a talent for organization.
  • Your willingness to develop professionally rounds off your profile.
  • You have a class B driver’s license.
