Engineer for water extraction (m/f/d)
Mindener Stadtwerke reliably supplies private and business customers with electricity, gas and water and is a competent local contact for all issues relating to energy supply. Our 57 employees are committed to providing a comprehensive local service. We are facing up to the challenges of the energy transition and advancing digitalization today and in the future. We supply the city of Minden with clean drinking water from two waterworks with around 20 wells, which is extensively treated.

Your tasks
- Managing the department and leading the team of six employees
- Ensuring smooth plant operation as well as technical and organizational process optimization
- Function as technical manager in accordance with DVGW W1000 for water supply
- Creation of action plans and supply concepts in accordance with DVGW W400 and strategic further development of water supply
- Representation of water extraction vis-à-vis authorities and market partners as well as monitoring and ensuring compliance with reporting obligations
- Processing of water law protection area procedures
- Development and implementation of water extraction, treatment and storage projects
- Budget responsibility for investments and maintenance
- Assuming responsibility for occupational safety in the department
- Participation in the on-call service
Your qualifications
- Technical studies in the field of utilities management, environmental/process engineering or comparable
- Ideally several years of experience in a comparable area of responsibility and experience in project management
- Good knowledge of MS Office and user competence with regard to company-specific software
- Very good knowledge of the relevant standards (DIN), ordinances (TrinkwV) and technical regulations (DVGW)
- Leadership skills and the ability to work in a team and motivate others
- Independent, analytical and responsible way of working
- High self-motivation to help shape the water supply of the future
- Class B driving license, preferably BE
