We at the wastewater treatment plants ensure the professional treatment of over 250 million m³ of wastewater for Berlin and the surrounding area every year. We ensure wastewater treatment with our industrial and commercial colleagues.

Your tasks
- Development, maintenance and optimization of decentralized climate protection and energy management in the department’s area of responsibility, taking into account central requirements
- Monitoring, evaluation and provision of energy and climate data, balances and key figures
- Evaluating the current situation and creating concepts for energy and GHG reductions as well as exploring potential for improvement
- Potential and feasibility assessments for renewable energy generation measures
- Targeted planning, control and implementation of in-house measures in the area of responsibility
- Initiating, managing and providing technical support for climate and energy-related investment projects
Your qualifications
- Master of Science Process Engineering or Process Technology or Environmental Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology with relevant in-depth knowledge of job-related tasks
- Alternatively: Master of Science in Renewable Energies with relevant in-depth knowledge of job-related tasks
- Special knowledge of process sequences and technical equipment in wastewater disposal, in particular knowledge of the technical possibilities of heat and energy generation from wastewater and photovoltaics
- Special knowledge in the conception and project planning of climate protection projects in existing plants
- Knowledge of climate protection and energy legislation (including the Berlin Climate Protection and Energy Transition Act, Renewable Energy Sources Act, Combined Heat and Power Act, Energy Efficiency Act, etc.)
- Ability to work in a team, solution-oriented thinking and innovative ability
