Head of subject area (m/f/d) Verification databases

Your tasks
- We are looking to strengthen our team as soon as possible with a Head of Verification Databases (m/f/d) who will actively shape the digitalization of verification management for renewable energy sources.
- The focus of the position is on the conceptual further development of the biogas register and the development of transparent, market-oriented verification systems for renewable energies.
- Technical implementation and coordination of a data interface between the dena biogas register and the Union Database (UDB)
- Management of the technical design of a register for granular (hourly or quarter-hourly) guarantees of origin for electricity
- Overall responsibility for the further development of the content of the subject area in close coordination with the department’s managers
- Conception, preparation and quality assurance of qualitative and quantitative analyses, background papers and briefings
- Establishing and maintaining a relevant specialist network
- Representing the subject area to the specialist public
- The position is full-time or part-time and is initially limited to two years with the option of permanent employment.
Your qualifications
- Degree in (business) informatics, energy technology, industrial engineering or a comparable course of study
- Several years of professional experience in the design and implementation of web and database applications
- Sound understanding of IT in combination with energy industry expertise
- Experience in working with relevant stakeholders in the energy policy environment, particularly at EU and federal level (e.g. ministries, regulatory authorities, grid operators, associations)
- Experience in the design and implementation of strategy and stakeholder processes
- Ability to structure and manage complex topics at the interface between IT, regulation and the energy industry
- Strong communication and organizational skills as well as team orientation
- Confident and professional demeanor as well as a high level of commitment when dealing with public institutions and companies
- High motivation to actively shape the energy transition and drive it forward in a national and international context
- Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
