We, FairNetz GmbH, are the grid operator in Reutlingen as well as in many municipalities in the region and, with around 400 employees, ensure the reliable and sustainable operation of electricity, natural gas, district heating and water supply networks. We are actively shaping the energy transition with state-of-the-art technology, intelligent distribution grids, the integration of renewable energies, innovative digitalization strategies and the promotion of electromobility.
Your tasks
- Technical and disciplinary management, control and further development of the operational team
- Planning, controlling and monitoring all processes in the area of metering point operation (gas/water/heat) including meter storage
- Responsibility for budget planning, control and efficient use of resources
- Ensuring compliance with legal regulations, standards and occupational health and safety and environmental protection guidelines
- Technical design, selection and procurement of metering and transmission technology
- Managing the processing of new installations, changes and complaints
- Monitoring equipment inventories and organizing regular meter changes and quality assurance
- Preparation of offers for metering point operation services
- Analysis of key figures and continuous optimization of processes
- Participation in digitalization and pilot projects as well as the introduction of new metering technologies
Your qualifications
- Completed master craftsman training in the field of gas/water or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in a utility company an advantage
- Management experience desirable
- Independent, systematic way of working, flexibility and ability to work in a team
- Sound knowledge of the relevant technical regulations, standards and legal requirements (e.g. occupational health and safety and environmental protection)
- Confident handling of common IT systems and interest in digital solutions and new measurement technologies
- Driving license class B is required
