Manager Power Grids - Technical and Regulatory (f/m/d)
Your tasks
- Representing the interests of our members vis-à-vis political, social and economic decision-makers in Germany and Europe, with a focus on technical and regulatory framework conditions for the further development of electricity grids
- Collaboration and coordination of technical positions on topics such as system stability, grid connection, interoperability, flexibility and climate neutrality grid
- Coordination, coordination and management of the development of overarching proposals for technical regulations for the construction and operation of electricity grids in close cooperation with our specialist associations and divisions in areas such as system issues and secure grid operation, digitalization of the energy transition or efficient expansion of the grid infrastructure. The aim is to represent a coordinated ZVEI position through the ZVEI representatives delegated to external committees, e.g. in the Network Technology/Network Operation Forum (FNN)
- Development and representation of coordinated ZVEI positions on technical norms and standards in national and European expert committees (e.g. FNN, standardization and regulatory formats)
- Independent support of member companies and efficient organization of committee work (incl. acquisition as well as content and organizational preparation, implementation and follow-up)
- Technical support and participation in the technical regulation of the construction, operation and further development of electricity grids (e.g. grid operation, system security, digitalization, grid expansion)
- Creation of communication content for internal and external media (newsletter, social media, etc.) to increase the visibility of our industry as an innovative driver of modern technologies
Your profile
- Successfully completed university degree, ideally with a technical focus (e.g. electrical engineering, energy technology, industrial engineering or similar)
- Relevant professional experience in the energy industry, technical regulation or standardization, e.g. in an association, an institution for standardization/regulation, a research institute or a company in the energy industry
- Good technical understanding of electricity grids as well as interest and experience in dealing with technical standards, norms and regulations
- Understanding of the national and European technical and regulatory framework conditions for electricity grids
- Independent and responsible way of working
- Analytical and communication skills, organizational talent and ability to work in a team
- Committed working style, initiative, flexibility and willingness to travel
- Very good written communication skills and fluency in written and spoken German and English
