Electrical engineer as project manager for substations/switchgear (f/m/d)

Your tasks

  • As an electrical engineer as project manager for substations/switchgear (f/m/d), you will take responsibility for planning and implementing central infrastructure projects and ensure that the power supply works reliably today and tomorrow. With your expertise, you will help to make our grids fit for the challenges of the energy transition and promote the integration of renewable energies. Your work will have a direct impact on a secure, sustainable energy supply in our region.
  • Planning and construction coordination of conversion and new construction measures in transfer switchgear and complex local grid stations
  • Coordination of maintenance measures in transfer switchgear including coordination with internal departments and external service providers
  • Providing technical advice to network management on extensive planning measures in the electricity supply network
  • Reviewing technical documents and feedback as part of grid planning and control
  • Participation in the further development of the renewal strategy in asset management, e.g. prioritization of modernization and replacement measures)
  • Management and control of projects that further develop the operational business and improve processes
  • Advising external parties on technical supply issues relating to the technical implementation of the grid connection

Your qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or state-certified technician (electrical engineering)
  • Several years of specialist electrical engineering experience, ideally in the energy supply industry or in a company supplying the energy supply industry
  • Experience in project management and technical coordination
  • Confident handling of Microsoft Office and knowledge of Lovion (View, Design, Work, Monitor, Smart Maps, Report, Outage) and SAP ERP
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and cooperative way of working
  • Strong problem-solving skills and structured, analytical thinking
  • Assertiveness and a sense of responsibility, especially with regard to occupational health and safety
  • Driving license (class B)
