Product Owner (f/m/d) – Virtual power plant – Software for power generation plants
Together with our partner companies emsys VPP and emsys grid services, we at energy & meteo systems do our best every day to efficiently integrate renewable energies into electricity grids and markets. To this end, we offer our customers – electricity traders and grid operators worldwide – pioneering software products and full services. In addition to wind and solar power forecasts, these include virtual power plants for controlling decentralized energy systems and a platform concept for forward-looking grid planning.
Your tasks
- As a Product Owner, you will play a key role in agile project management. You are responsible for a sub-area of our “Virtual Power Plant” software solution and ensure that the product meets customer expectations.
- Strategy: You have a clear product vision in mind and work together with the team to drive forward the further development of our service.
- Requirements management: You collect all customer requirements in a structured manner, prioritize features and ensure optimal implementation by our development team.
- Product cycle: You accompany all stages of the development process and are responsible for ensuring that a highly functional and commercially successful product is created.
- Stakeholder management: You are responsible for pooling information from the key accounting and software development departments, with whom you work closely.
- Market screening: You always keep an eye on the industry, competition and current market requirements and align our product strategy accordingly in line with our corporate values.
Your qualifications
- You have a degree, e.g. in energy management, renewable energies, energy and environmental technology, business informatics or industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- You have gained initial professional experience in product management, IT product purchasing, technical sales, as a project manager / scrum master in software development or in a similar position.
- Your access to our services is important – thanks to your affinity for IT, you are good at understanding complex software products.
- Communication skills: You listen actively, can communicate technical topics clearly, argue persuasively and value teamwork.
- Ideally, you are already familiar with the energy market, renewable energies and electricity grids or are open to topics such as direct marketing, balancing power and redispatch.
