As one of four transmission system operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for electricity transmission at the highest voltage level; the level on which everything depends when it comes to grid stability and security of supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid network and cooperate directly with colleagues throughout Europe. Together with the Belgian grid operator Elia, 50Hertz forms a European company: the Elia Group. We work together intensively on key issues. Individual areas such as IT or purchasing are group functions, i.e. Elia and 50Hertz colleagues work in a joint team in workplaces spread across Berlin and Brussels.

• Together with your team of specialists, take responsibility for the support and commissioning of new grid systems in offshore operations for the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
• What makes this job interesting: Dare more sea – our offshore operation is growing and is looking for a strong team leader for cross-sea offshore grid expansion. In the cross-location cooperation (Itzehoe, Rostock, Berlin), you and your team will form the central interface between project and operation at 50Hertz as part of the construction supervision of new offshore facilities. Alongside the projects, your commitment will accompany the operational construction, build up internal know-how on the latest technology and finally, with the successful commissioning, ensure the safe operation of our offshore and onshore plants
• Your tasks:
• Design and innovation: You develop sustainable concepts, guidelines and target images for ONAS construction support, taking into account current regulatory developments. You identify innovation potential and continuously develop processes,
• Create structures, achieve impact: You build up a high-performance, cross-regional specialist area and manage resources (budget, personnel, equipment) efficiently and in line with requirements,
• Leading and developing people: You motivate your team, promote talent in a targeted manner and create space for personal and professional development,
• Combining offshore operations and projects: You effectively integrate offshore operations into grid expansion projects and ensure strong interaction. You will coordinate key content, set clear priorities and ensure a common technical understanding.

• Completed studies in an electrical or energy technology field,
• Willingness to shape and help build a growing team,
• Ideally initial management experience and a strong sense of responsibility,
• Sound knowledge of the operation of (offshore) systems in the extra-high voltage grid desirable,
• Health suitability for offshore work,
• Very good knowledge of English (C1),
• Car driving license and a high willingness to travel.
