Engineer or Technician (m/f/d) as Head of the Urban Drainage Division
Stadtwerke Geretsried is a modern municipal utility company whose primary responsibilities include supplying drinking water and managing wastewater for the city of Geretsried. With about 15 employees, our entire technical department ensures that everything runs—and flows—smoothly for our customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintenance of the sewer system, pumping stations, and lift stations in the city of Geretsried in accordance with recognized engineering standards and the Self-Monitoring Ordinance (EÜV)
- Planning, tendering, and awarding contracts for construction and renovation projects
- Coordination of sewer network inspections and assessment of the condition of the sewer network
- Development of rehabilitation concepts, including priority lists, rehabilitation procedures, cost estimates, etc.
- Planning, coordinating, and documenting maintenance measures on the sewer network and at the pumping stations
- Management of staff assigned to the department
Your Qualifications
- A completed degree from a university of applied sciences (e.g., civil engineering with a specialization in municipal water management or environmental engineering) or training as a construction technician with a comparable specialization and professional experience
- Knowledge in the field of sewer rehabilitation, ideally with certification as a sewer rehabilitation consultant (training may be supported if necessary)
- Solid computer skills and a willingness to learn our software for sewer rehabilitation and operations management
- Experience in sewer operations is desirable but not required
- You should be able to adapt to other areas of responsibility, as your role overlaps with other functional areas. A high degree of flexibility, communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team are therefore essential.
