Team Leader (m/f/d) for Gas, Water, and Heat Measurement Technology

We, FairNetz GmbH, are the grid operator in Reutlingen and in many municipalities throughout the region. With approximately 400 employees, we ensure the reliable and sustainable operation of electricity, natural gas, and district heating— We are actively and proactively shaping the energy transition using state-of-the-art technology, smart distribution grids, the integration of renewable energy sources, innovative digitalization strategies, and the promotion of electric mobility.
Your Responsibilities
- Technical and disciplinary leadership, management, and further development of the operational team
- Planning, management, and monitoring of all processes related to meter station operations (gas/water/heat), including the meter warehouse
- Responsibility for budget planning, control, and the efficient use of resources
- Ensuring compliance with legal regulations, standards, and occupational safety, health, and environmental protection guidelines
- Technical design, selection, and procurement of metering and transmission technology
- Management of the implementation of new installations, modifications, and customer complaints
- Monitoring of equipment inventories, as well as organizing scheduled meter replacements and quality assurance
- Preparing quotes for metering point operation services
- Analyzing key performance indicators and continuously optimizing processes
- Participation in digitization and pilot projects, as well as the implementation of new metering technologies
Your Qualifications
- Completed master craftsman training in the gas/water field or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience at a utility company is a plus
- Leadership experience is desirable
- Ability to work independently and systematically, flexibility, and the ability to work well in a team
- In-depth knowledge of relevant technical regulations, standards, and legal requirements (e.g., occupational safety, health, and environmental protection)
- Proficiency with common IT systems and an interest in digital solutions and new metering technologies
- A Class B driver’s license is required
