Concept Manager (m/f/d) Energy / Climate Strategy

As one of the largest housing cooperatives in northern Germany, we manage approximately 15,700 apartments and 130 commercial units. Our core business lies in property management, as well as the design and construction of residential buildings.
With approximately 200 employees, we offer our roughly 19,000 members a full range of housing-related services—a priority that has been at the heart of our organization for over 75 years.
Your Responsibilities
- You can expect a challenging and forward-looking role at the intersection of climate strategy, energy supply, and the digital transformation of our building portfolio.
- Further developing and managing our climate action plan to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions
- Establishing and maintaining a CO2 monitoring system, as well as analyzing and evaluating our building stock
- Developing cost-effective modernization strategies while taking into account legal requirements and funding opportunities
- Developing and implementing innovative energy concepts for new construction and existing buildings
- (Focus: renewable energy)
- Supporting external planning efforts and participating in pilot projects and their transition into technical standards
- Supporting our project and site managers with energy-related issues
- Collaborating on neighborhood concepts and coordinating with external partners
- (e.g., utilities, planning firms, government agencies)
- Serving as the central point of contact between internal departments, external partners, and our members
- Carrying out statutory tasks (e.g., energy audits in accordance with EDL-G, energy performance certificates)
Your Qualifications
- A college degree or advanced training in the field of utility engineering, energy engineering, or building services engineering (or a comparable qualification)
- Ideally, experience in the planning, evaluation, or operation of energy and building services systems
- Interest in sustainable energy concepts, digitalization, and innovative technologies
- Analytical thinking skills, as well as a structured and independent work style
- Strong communication skills and a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Commitment to actively driving new initiatives forward
