Project Engineer, Network Strategy (m/f/d) Digital Transformation & Innovation

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll play an active role in shaping the further development of our medium- and low-voltage grids and prepare them to meet the demands of the energy transition. The focus is on automation, digitalization, and optimized operations management of our grids, as well as the development of innovative smart grid solutions.
  • In this role, you’ll initiate and oversee innovation projects, work closely with internal and external partners, and ensure that new solutions are technically sound, cost-effective, and sustainable.
  • You will develop and design concepts for the automation, digitization, and optimized operation of medium- and low-voltage grids. In doing so, you will drive innovative solutions in the smart grid sector as well as the integration and use of operational and grid data.
  • In your role, you will initiate, plan, manage, and evaluate innovation projects in close collaboration with internal and external partners. In doing so, you will ensure the quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability of the solutions developed.
  • You will support the system integration of renewable energy sources, storage solutions, and controllable loads, and develop corresponding expansion strategies as well as concepts for their technical integration into grid operations.
  • You will engage with new technologies and research collaborations and continuously further develop our grid infrastructure.

Your Qualifications

  • Are you interested in the future of energy supply and want to
  • help shape the transformation of the power grids?
  • You have a degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, energy engineering/energy management, industrial engineering, or a comparable technical or scientific degree.
  • Ideally, you have experience in data management.
  • You have a strong technical aptitude, work in a structured and organized manner, and approach tasks independently and with a focus on solutions.
  • You communicate clearly and persuasively, stand your ground when it matters, and know how to bring together different interests in a focused manner.
  • Your motivation to actively help shape the energy transition and to drive its implementation with dedication rounds out your profile.
