The Build DC department is responsible for implementing onshore and offshore DC projects, including the 2GW and 900MW programs. It manages partnerships with key suppliers and provides project management, engineering, and support services such as construction, permitting, cable laying, logistics, and commissioning. The unit coordinates regional activities, defines performance targets, and ensures standards, methods, and quality assurance for large-scale DC projects.

Your contribution to TenneT

You will implement TenneT’s commissioning procedures at the system and component levels on site, ensuring full compliance with technical specifications, standards, and project requirements
You will coordinate the involvement of TenneT personnel in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including the engagement of technical specialists as needed
Commissioning activities are planned and managed by organizing preparatory meetings, distributing commissioning look-ahead schedules, and participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) when necessary
You continuously monitor the progress of testing and commissioning activities, provide regular status updates, and ensure the completeness of all commissioning deliverables
Quality, governance, and process compliance are maintained through CMS database validations, verification of commissioning logic, and enforcement of certificate management processes
Continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing activities are supported through active participation in workshops and close collaboration with project, commissioning, and site management teams

Your profile and background

A master’s degree in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification provides the foundation for your technical expertise
Experience and solid knowledge in integration and commissioning enable you to contribute effectively to complex project environments
You manage contractors with confidence, while addressing on-site challenges in a pragmatic and solution-oriented manner
You handle stakeholder relationships with sensitivity, sound judgment, and a strong awareness of different interests and perspectives
Your excellent communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively in international and multidisciplinary environments
A dynamic and proactive mindset, combined with persuasiveness and fluency in both German and English (minimum C1), rounds out your profile
