As part of our Gas Systems Department, you’ll ensure that the gas supply in Solingen remains safe, reliable, and sustainable. Using your technical expertise, you’ll keep gas transfer stations, control systems, and customer installations in perfect working order, identify malfunctions early on, and ensure the safe operation of the systems. In this way, you make an important contribution every day to the security of supply and the reliable energy supply of our city.
You independently plan scheduled maintenance and repair work on gas receiving stations and district control systems.
You will conduct functional tests, inspections, and maintenance work, and you will be responsible for assessing the condition of the systems and documenting your findings.
In addition, you will independently organize and carry out maintenance, functional tests, and inspections on customer systems.
Your responsibilities also include the maintenance and inspection of odorization systems.
As needed, you will support the installation, operations, metering technology, and pipeline network monitoring departments.
You will regularly participate in the gas and water on-call roster.
What You Bring to the Table
You have completed vocational training as a piping fitter, plant mechanic, or a related field, and have several years of relevant professional experience.
You enjoy working in a dedicated team.
Personally, you stand out for your strong sense of responsibility and reliability, as well as your ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
You hold a Class B driver’s license and are willing to relocate to Solingen or the immediate surrounding area.
