Tasks
Serving as the Waste Management Officer (m/f/d) in accordance with the Circular Economy Act (KrWG) and the Waste Management Officer Ordinance (AbfBeauftrV) as a central staff function for the entire corporate group
Organizing, monitoring, and documenting compliance with waste and environmental laws, regulations, and official requirements
Coordinating and ensuring the proper collection and disposal of materials and construction waste from construction and maintenance projects
Implementing and monitoring electronic record-keeping for hazardous waste via the Electronic Waste Record-Keeping System (eANV), including verifying and signing accompanying and transfer documents
Assuming responsibility for the group’s central waste disposal site in accordance with the relevant requirements of immission control law
Advising and raising awareness among employees regarding the proper handling of waste and hazardous substances, as well as opportunities for waste prevention and resource conservation
Supporting and advising departments in the planning and implementation of waste disposal measures
Contributing to the further development and implementation of the company’s environmental and energy management system
Preparing reports, waste balances, and relevant documentation, as well as compiling environmental performance metrics
Candidate Profile
A successfully completed college degree, for example in environmental engineering, civil engineering, earth sciences, or a comparable field; alternatively, a technical qualification, such as that of a state-certified technician
Several years of professional experience in the field of waste and environmental management, ideally in the energy or utilities sector
Certification as a Waste Management Officer (m/f/d)
In-depth knowledge of relevant waste and environmental regulations
Experience with the electronic waste tracking system (eANV); knowledge of ZEDAL is desirable
Ideally, practical experience in the energy sector, grid operations, or civil engineering
A confident and professional demeanor, a strong sense of responsibility, and an independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
