Our client is an established network infrastructure service provider that supplies residential and business customers with electricity, natural gas, drinking water, and district heating. As part of its ongoing expansion, the forward-looking transformation of the network infrastructure is a key area—also for the successful energy transition. And this is exactly where you come in: We are looking for a team leader (f/m/d) who excels both personally and professionally, who will be responsible for the hydraulic assets while simultaneously shaping the network infrastructure of tomorrow with innovative concepts. Your place of work is in the Bonn–Cologne–Aachen triangle. Remote work (2 days per week) is a given, subject to operational requirements.

Task:

Technical Management Position at a Regional Energy Utility
In this leadership role, you will oversee technical asset management and, together with a highly qualified team, be responsible for ensuring that the hydraulic supply networks are designed to be efficient and sustainable. Specifically, this means: You will develop viable concepts for the renewal and expansion of the existing network infrastructure, plan medium- and long-term budget and maintenance requirements, and coordinate regularly with all relevant departments (Regulation, Controlling, Network Management), project management, and divisional leadership. As the central point of contact, you also set the direction, actively participate in committees, collaborate with the association of regional energy utilities, and engage in university partnerships to drive the development of new network concepts and strategies in the “hydraulics” sector. In addition, technical reporting to shareholders, regulatory authorities, and industry associations falls directly under your responsibility. In short: With your expertise, you support investment decisions and ensure the network infrastructure’s performance for decades to come.

Profile:

As an experienced leader dedicated to the field of “utility networks,” you hold a technical degree—in utility engineering, energy engineering, or a comparable field—and have several years of professional experience in technical project management at a network infrastructure service provider. We require expertise in multi-stakeholder management and in leading your own teams, as well as in-depth knowledge of hydraulic networks and the broader energy industry landscape. You should also be proficient in using digital tools. On a personal level, you stand out through your analytical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to rally people from different fields toward shared goals. You communicate confidently and effectively at all levels, combine assertiveness with the ability to bring people together, and demonstrate a strong drive to shape and implement solutions.

Benefits

A diverse technical management role awaits you, in which you will play an active, hands-on role in shaping the regional energy transition through innovative grid concepts. You can also look forward to a modern corporate culture at a multi-award-winning employer. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
